SEVIS Fee: The SEVIS fee for F-1 visa applicants is currently $350.

Visa Application Fee: The visa application fee, also known as the Machine-Readable Visa (MRV) fee is currently $160.

The list of documents you need for your F-1 visa application:

Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student (I-20): You will need the original Form I-20 issued by the U.S. educational institution you have been accepted to. This document confirms your acceptance and contains important information such as your SEVIS number and program start date.

SEVIS Fee Receipt: You must provide the receipt showing payment of the SEVIS fee. This fee supports the operation of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).

Online Visa Form (DS-160) Receipt: You need the receipt showing completion of the DS-160 form for a nonimmigrant student. This form collects your personal and background information and is completed online.

Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the United States. Carry both your current passport and any previous passports you may have.

Financial Documents: You will need documents that demonstrate your ability to finance your education and living expenses in the United States. This may include bank statements, scholarship award letters, sponsorship letters, or any other proof of financial support.

Photographs: Prepare two recent color photographs of yourself that meet the U.S. immigration’s image requirements. One physical photograph and one digital photograph may be required.

Academic Documents: Gather your academic transcripts, test scores, qualifications, or certificates from the schools you have attended. These documents provide evidence of your educational background and achievements.
